9/20/25 - We drove about 2 hours to get to our campground south of Indianapolis. After getting set up we drove downtown to meet our friends for dinner.

Jen is a close friend that I met in college and have known for over 30 years. We had an excellent dinner at St. Elmo Steakhouse, which started serving in 1902, and was a recommendation made to Pat and me by people we met on our January cruise.

After dinner, the four of us walked to the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial, and then to a bar where we chatted until late

9/21/25 - We met Jen and Chris at the Indianapolis location of Agave and Rye (the "taco" place we fell in love with in Cleveland). Then we walked around downtown Indianapolis:

We saw several huge murals on buildings, including this one which has been hand-painted on this building for 17 years

We walked by the Indiana State Capitol (closed on Sunday)

We walked along the Canal Walk, where you could rent paddle boats or ride in a gondola. It had a few restaurants and many apartment/housing complexes.

And then we walked up 331 steps to the top of the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial for some 360-degree views

After that, we went to the RV to show it to them and relax for awhile. Jen and Chris started their trip back to Mahomet, Illinois, after a great dinner together at the Bonefish Grill.

9/22/25 - We drove into Indianapolis one more time for a 9am tour INSIDE the Indiana capitol building.

The stained glass below the cupola of the Indiana Capitol. It was another pretty building.

Afterwards, we packed up the RV and hit the road. We drove across Illinois and into Missouri. We arrived in time to play on-line euchre with Jerry and Lori Harmann.
