Ohio: Dayton Area

9/18/25 - We drove the route I had taken many times as a child...down I-75 from the Detroit area to the Dayton area. My dad's parents (Kurt and Lilo Kuschnerus) and brother (Rainer Kuschnerus) and his family have lived in the Dayton area my whole life.

After setting up in a nice KOA full of big trees, we drove to my cousin's house. Karina and her husband, Jim, had a pizza and birthday party for my other cousin's daughter. My Uncle Rainer and most of his kids, significant others, and grandkids were there.

We had a cognac toast in honor of my Dad

9/19/25 - The Kuschnerus Klan (as I like to call them) and a set of friends came to a party we hosted at our campsite. The adults enjoyed catching up and the grandkids had fun playing.

With Ty and Julie Noe, friends from Green Bay / Procter & Gamble that have lived in the Cincinnati area for >20 years

We had planned to visit my uncle and cousins at this point so it was special that we could be together so soon after my dad's passing.
