10/7/25 - We drove about 45 minutes from our RV park, in Camp Verde, for our Pink Jeep tour of Sedona's Scenic Rim.

On the way up the canyon, Pat rode in the front seat which was more comfortable and allowed him to see the sights. The back seats were more bumpy and you couldn't see much.

After the tour, we drove to a vista by the airport that our tour guide had recommended. Although Pat and I have been to the town of Sedona a couple of times, this was our first time visiting the scenic areas. Although beautiful, everything is relative and Utah's National Parks, especially Bryce Canyon, far exceed the scenery here.

We spent the rest of the day relaxing at the RV. Pat played around with ChatGPT.

10/8/25 - Stuff around the RV. I started looking at my "at home" schedule again. I overbook myself with time with my mom (she's back in our community for the winter/spring), planned exercise, pottery, other crafts, helping the shelter doggies, other volunteer activities, social events, chores, and shows in PHX. Crazy but fun!!

10/9/25 - We drove an hour towards Prescott to mountain-bike at "Bean Peaks". If offered many miles of Beginner, Intermediate, and harder trails. It was great to have trails both of us could enjoy.

After showering at the RV, we drove to Sedona to listen to Tyler Carson, the "Fiddler on the Rock".

He used two violins (the funny looking one on the stand is a "Stroh Violin") and played in a barn with the red rocks of Sedona as a backdrop. He used foot pedals to record what he was playing, then play with that playing in the background, then repeat a number of times until it sounded like a whole band was with him. He was a really likeable guy and we had a great time.

Afterwards, we went to The Stagecoach Restaurant for dinner, which we really enjoyed. Pat did NOT ride the bull 😊.

10/10/25 - We had planned to return to Bean Peaks to mountain-bike but it was raining so we spent the morning in the RV. In the afternoon, we drove back to Prescott, to walk around the historic part of town called Whiskey Row.

The town had several memorials to the Granite Mountain Hotshots.

They were a wildfire crew from Prescott who lost 19 of 20 members in 2013. They were battling a blaze when the fire's direction changed suddenly due to a thunderstorm and the crew was trapped. In January 2024, Pat and I hiked the Granite Mountain Hotshots Memorial with two other couples. It is a challenging 5-mile round trip hike to where they perished and has 19 plaques to share a photo and story of each fallen Hotshot.

We walked around the shops, stopped in a couple of saloons, and had another excellent dinner at a place recommended by my mom: El Gato Azul.

10/11/25 - A day of cleaning and minor RV repairs before we head home tomorrow. It is nice to have the A/C on (which we can't do in front of our house).

We plan to arrive home tomorrow (10/12/25).

We had another wonderful trip and are looking forward to our 2026 adventure!

Thank you for following along on our journey!!
