6/5/25 - After a lazy morning, we drove about 30 minutes to the site of the Teton Dam (and the namesake for our "Dam" half marathon). Wikipedia informed us that this dam collapsed in 1976 a COUPLE OF DAYS after the reservoir was filled. The resulting flood killed 11 people and thousands of livestock. It was not rebuilt.

6/6/25 - My guidebook mentioned a distillery making vodka out of Idaho potatoes, so we went to Grand Teton Distillery (in the town of Driggs) for a tasting and a tour.

Unfortunately, the vodka didn't taste like potatoes! It was good though so we bought a bottle.

Afterwards, we returned to Rexburg to pick up our bibs for Saturday's half marathon. The highlight was a make-your-own trail mix buffet!

6/7/25 - This half marathon started at a reasonable 7:30am and took us through the rolling hills and potato farms around Rexburg. We could see the Teton Mountains in the distance. The temperature was perfect and the sun was shining.

19 states left on our quest!

For our reward meal, we went to Big Jud's Burgers.

We skipped the 1# and 2# burgers and instead got a 1/3# burger with Idaho French fries
