To Moab, Utah

8/27/24 - We saw beautiful scenery driving further west through the Rocky Mountains and Glenwood Canyon in Colorado, and along the Colorado River after entering Utah.

Thanks to Dad and Sandy's suggestion, we took the scenic route (UT-128) along the Colorado River to get to Moab

We checked into our RV park in Moab, Utah, where we will stay for 9 nights to experience Arches National Park, Canyonlands NP, white-water rafting, mountain-biking, and TBD.

This horse lives in the big field behind where we are parked. "Caballo" lets me pet and feed him apples

8/28/24 - We relaxed around the RV and planned our hikes and other activities.

"Pat, are you patting our patties?"

After Pat's delicious hamburgers, we watched the sunset turn the surrounding rocks red and bats flying around.

8/29/24 - Arches National Park was amazing! Beautiful vistas, towering rock walls, free-standing spires, canyons, and of course arches! We hiked a total of 9 miles via several trails to see ~12 of the 2000 arches (they often remain hidden until you are right next to them!).

306' wide Landscape Arch (my favorite)
Double Arch

To reward ourselves for 9 miles of hiking, we had a pizza dinner in Moab.

I liked patting the patties. And why does he smoke the stoggies?? Although he looks quite happy smoking those. Thanks for sending the updates. 🥰😎🤣
