6/19/24 - We started our day with a guided tour of the Utah state capitol building. We saw their Supreme Court (seats for 5 justices and about 20 other people in the tiny room), Senate and House chambers, and the outside of the governor's office. It was a beautiful building.
Our next stop was Temple Square...the "headquarters" for the Latter Day Saints religion. We were blown away with the massive buildings!
Our next stop was Antelope Island State Park (about 40 minutes NW of SLC) to see the Great Salt Lake. Not a beautiful place (lots of gnats and a sulfur smell) but we did see bison, pronghorn antelope, and 2 coyotes.
Our last stop of the day was a delicious Italian dinner in Salt Lake City.
6/20/24 - We drove approximately 8 hours to get to our RV park SE of Grand Teton National Park. We took the Mirror Lake Scenic Bypass for some mountain and waterfall scenery.
Along the way we saw sandhill cranes, pronghorn antelope, lots of sheep, a MASSIVE ExxonMobil property with a large refinery, and a frolicking baby cow.
Love the pic of Cheryl walking on the shoreline and Pat at the river waiting to get a fish bite.
Great spot along the river for the RV. What a relaxing time!
Lots of Fun stops🩷
